Dead inside

A better world,
All that is sought;
A white veil opens,
At every thought.

Flowers, like us,
Meant to be smelt;
Odd smell gulfs in,
At every belt.

Smile for people,
Lips do, eyes don't;
Fakeness freezes,
Until realities jolt.

So much cacophony,
Around and around;
Silence takes the centre,
With every sound.

Touch and feel,
Oh, my beloved;
A seething solitude,
Down, as it is laid.

Breathe in and out,
A life , is it?
Heart stops, often,
A death, it isn't!
